Introduction

At SlashBoot.org you'll find articles, opinions and resources or links, relating to Unix-like operating systems such as OpenBSD, FreeBSD and Linux. Web services, including web site serving with Apache, mail serving with Postfix (when I get around to it) and web site development, should all feature heavily. Web development articles are security focused and according to web standards, as specified at the w3.org web site.

This is one of my personal web sites and as a result, anything expressed herein is my own personal opinion. The site mainly exists to give me a place to develop this CMS and spout off in a blogging sense.

The name slashboot originates from the /boot partition / folder used mainly by UNIX and Unix-like operating systems. Funnily enough this is now a part of the layout for Windows systems, starting with the ill-fated Vista and carried through to Windows 7. As I'm actually quite impressed with Windows 7, I wouldn't be surprised to see something appear on here about the latest desktop O/S to come out of Redmond.
